Works great with XP Pro
Reviewed by: USAFDON
Easy to set up, plug in card and load software, then install software and, XP Pro recognizes the Wi-Fi card and your off and running. It took all of ten minutes (Mostly installing card in Pc unit then quick Software install). It was a lot easier than I thought, the card immediately recognized my Router and walla, my signal levels were 65 of 100%. (I was going through 2 walls in my home about 30 feet separation between router & My PC. The card should do better if you don't go through 2 walls and you have a more direct signal path. The "Launch Wireless PCI Bus Utility" that comes with the software is excellent, it sets up parameters and gives a constant signal readout (% of Signal from 0 to 100). The only setback is the small pigtail (around 3 Ft. long) that attaches the antenna to the back of the Wi-Fi card. If it were 6ft long, you could orientate it better in height to receive a stronger signal. At signal levels from 35 to 65, the card operates flawlessly, with no signal loss. This was a real bargain at $14.99 delivered in 3 days. Thanks Chiefvalue.
