This is one of the best heatsinks i have ever used. I am using this on a new Core 2 Duo 6600. My proccessors temps are almost 10 degrees less then stock HSF.

AMD Opteron 148 Venus 2.9GHz (1.66V) on Prime95 torture large FFT -- ~40c (+/-2c). System temps < 30c. It may have to work harder in warmer weather. Keeps airflow going in one direction. Front to back airflow from case fans will provide additional cooling of the unit. Idle temps are ~25c with cool system temp (< 30c). Processor fan rarely runs.

This has got to be the best cpu cooler outside liquid cooling... Keeps my Core 2 Duo E6600 at 17 C idle (yes, 17, ambient temperature: 17) that is overclocked to 3.2Ghz. 23 C under load. Installation was a synch too. FAN noise is pretty quiet
