Great performer

No matter how many reviews you read, until you recieve this you wont believe how big it is. Well i got it, lapped it, installed it. Before i couldnt overclock my cpu past 2.4GHz, in fact it wasnt stable at 2.4G or even at 2.3GHz sometimes. Idle temp was about 48C (this was with a ThermalTake Volcano 10+). Now, its idle at about 38C and I tested it stable at 2.5GHz, i'll i'll try and push it more as well. Its a boheimeth. Use to have a 80mm fan feeding my Volcano 10+ cool air, this is tall enough that I had to remove that fan so the 80mm fan wouldnt press up aginst the 120mm fan on the big typhoon (it MAY have fit, but they'd be touching w/o a doubt. So the Typhoon has a 80mm breather hole right now. While building a machine for overclocking I've learned premium parts are very worth it. You get what you pay for. Awesome

I've read comments on how huge this things is, but I was only able to put that into perspective where I received it. This dwarfs every other fan I've bought to date. My setup is a P4-630 HT on an Asus P5GD1-VM in a mid tower generic case. I'm just using the onboard video since this PC serves as my server and development platform. I initially had a Spire SP507B-7 and had my CPU temps about 150F while surfing the net, using Visual Studio 2005 and running Prime95 at full load in the background (low 70s ambient). With this fan, with all factors the same, I can't get it to go past 120F. JUST AWESOME!!

Awesome Performance

Omg What a Monster! This thing is huge! It keeps my athlon64 3500+ nice and chilly at idle temp of 22C. After HalfLife 2 gaming, my temp is only 40C. I guess you get what ya pay for. This is definitely worth it.
