Solid build

This adapter is very solidly built. The beauty of it is the supplied universal joint adapter which enables this to be tilted into any direction required for best signal reception, which turns out does not vary much. The range is average, comparable with my PC card. The software does not provide much info about the other signals that it detects, and also leaves me guessing whether it has latched on to the particular signal I want to connect to. This is touted to be usable on Macs and Linux which is the reason I bought it to prepare for the day when I will buy an iBook in addition to my present Thinkpad. But users in other forums are having problems using it with Macs and Linux.
